Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Image Collector browser extension, website and optional paid services.
1. Accepting these terms
By installing or using Image Collector, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must approve your use. Paid subscriptions may be purchased only by someone legally able to enter a contract.
2. The Service
Image Collector helps users capture, download, trace, organize and search images from supported webpages. Free functions are primarily local. Optional Pro functions may include higher local limits, rules, product-research fields, cloud snapshots, device activation, OCR credits and related workflow tools.
Some Pro functions are in early access or Beta. Beta functions may change, be delayed, have usage limits or be withdrawn before general release.
3. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with or use the Service to build a competing service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
4. Responsible collection and copyright
Image Collector does not grant ownership or usage rights in images you collect. You are responsible for reviewing source-site terms, copyright, privacy, trademark and other rights before downloading, sharing, publishing or commercially using an image. Do not use the Service to bypass access controls or collect unlawful content.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or infringing activity;
- attempt to bypass website security, authentication, rate limits or technical restrictions;
- upload malware, secrets or content you are not permitted to process;
- probe, overload or disrupt the Service or its providers;
- misrepresent your identity or payment information.
6. Accounts, installations and security
Early versions may identify an installation using a random local credential rather than a traditional password account. If device activation becomes available, you are responsible for protecting pairing codes and for activity from your activated installations. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
7. Paid subscriptions
Research Pro is free during Preview. Billing, checkout and paid subscriptions are disabled. If paid plans are introduced later, the price, provider, billing period, included features, renewal terms and applicable taxes will be shown before purchase. You will be able to manage or cancel a subscription through the customer portal made available with the purchase.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
8. Usage limits
Plans may include limits for local analysis, devices, cloud storage, snapshot size, team access, OCR credits or other resource-intensive functions. Current limits are shown in the product or purchase flow and may be updated for future billing periods with reasonable notice.
9. Availability and changes
We may improve, replace, suspend or discontinue functionality. Webpages can change without notice, and browser restrictions, site protections, canvas content, CSS backgrounds or expiring URLs can prevent capture or download. We do not guarantee compatibility with every page or image.
10. Your data
You retain your rights in data you add to the Service. You grant us and our providers only the limited rights needed to perform an online action you request. Details are described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of profits, loss of data or loss caused by third-party sites. Our total liability relating to paid Service use will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may limit or suspend access for material violation of these Terms, security risk, fraud or legal requirements. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export locally available data.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, where appropriate, notice in the product.
